Martinez included for Leeds trip as Carrick downplays drama

Lisandro Martinez is set to feature in the squad for Sunday’s trip to Leeds after apologising for his recent public outburst regarding the club hierarchy. Head coach Michael Carrick affirmed that the matter is "done" and has galvanised the squad, despite a challenging start to the season.

• Carrick also confirmed that Amad received a reprimand for a cryptic social media post following the Champions League defeat to Atlético.
• Despite Carrick’s public statements, reports suggest Martinez holds private grievances and may be considering his future at the club.
• The team faces a challenging period, enduring their worst start to a season in 40 years, which has intensified pressure on Carrick.
• Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo are not yet ruled out for the Leeds fixture, but Benjamin Sesko remains sidelined with a persistent shin injury.
• Leeds boss Daniel Farke has dismissed claims that his side are favourites for Sunday's derby, despite United's recent struggles.
